Some of my channels do not have audio (Series3 HD DVRs)

To ensure the best audio quality, the Series3 HD DVR will play the Dolby Digital audio track for all programs, if one is available. We have had reports that some cable providers broadcast certain channels with Dolby Digital and MPEG audio tracks, but the Dolby Digital audio track is blank.

To troubleshoot this issue:



 

Step 1Make sure you can hear audio on other channels.

  
 

Step 2Tune to a channel that is not broadcasting audio.

  
 

Step 3Press the INFO button to display the channel banner.

  
 

Step 4Check to see if there is a highlighted Dolby Digital icon, which looks like this:

  
 

 

NotesIf you see a speaker icon, rather than the Dolby Digital icon, it means that the program does NOT include a Dolby Digital audio track. Go to Audio and video troubleshooting to troubleshoot your issue.

 

Step 5If the Dolby Digital icon is highlighted, but you cannot hear audio, contact TiVo Customer Support.
