I received a 'Please Activate Service' message on my DVR (Message #63)

This message will be sent if you have not activated your TiVo service. You can activate your TiVo service by visiting www.tivo.com/activate.

If you believe you have already activated and you are still receiving this message, make sure your TiVo DVR has made a connection to the TiVo service. Please see How do I connect to the TiVo Service?

 

NotesIn order to maintain program guide data, your TiVo DVR needs to automatically connect to the TiVo service every 24 to 48 hours. If for some reason the connection does not succeed, the DVR will try again within 24 hours.

 

If the DVR made a connection at least 2 hours after you activated service and this message still appears, please contact TiVo Customer Support.
