What should I do if I sell or give away my DVR?

1. Cancel your TiVo service payment plan, or transfer the service to a new DVR. See How do I transfer my TiVo Service to a new DVR? for more information.
WARNING: Canceling your TiVo service payment plan may result in an Early Termination Fee or other penalty.
NOTE: Product Lifetime Service accompanies the DVR, not the owner. If you sold or gave away a DVR that has Product Lifetime Service, either you or the new owner must contact Customer Support to transfer the service to the new owner.
2. You may also want to clear and delete all recordings and preferences; this will clear all Season Passes, Wish Lists, and settings, and will return the DVR to its out-of-box state. For information on clearing your DVR, go to How do I delete or clear all recordings and preferences?
