| |  To display the channel banner, press the RIGHT arrow key on your remote control while you are watching a live or recorded program. Pressing RIGHT arrow again will cycle through the different sizes of the channel banner.

| | - Record
- -- Selecting the Record shortcut is similar to pressing the RECORD button on the remote control. This icon is dim when the TiVo DVR is not recording a program, and bright when a recording is in progress.

| | - Other Tuner
- (found only on the Series2 DT, Series3, and TiVo HD DVRs) -- Selecting the Other Tuner shortcut switches the display to the other tuner. If the red circle in the icon is bright, there is a recording in progress on the other tuner.

| | - KidZone
- --Selecting the KidZone icon brings you to the KidZone Settings where you can change your current KidZone Settings.

| | - Parental Controls
- -- Selecting the lock icon brings you to the Parental Controls screen. If Parental Controls are off, this icon appears unlocked and dim. If they are on, it appears locked and bright. If they are on but temporarily disabled, it appears unlocked and bright.

- -- Selecting the envelope icon brings you to the Messages screen. If this icon is bright, you have new TiVo Messages.

| | - Alternate Audio
- (found only on Series3 and TiVo HD DVRs) -- Selecting the speaker icon brings you to the Alternate Audio screen. If this icon is bright, the program has a secondary audio program (SAP).

| | - Dolby Digital
- (found only on Series3 and TiVo HD DVRs) -- Selecting the Dolby Digital icon brings you to the Alternate Audio screen. If this icon is bright, the program has alternate digital audio tracks, including Dolby Digital audio tracks.

| | - Closed Captioning
- (found only on Series3 and TiVo HD DVRs) -- Selecting the speaker icon brings you to the Closed Captioning screen, where you can turn closed captioning on or off, and select options such as the text size and color.
