TiVo service gift cards are the perfect gift for any occasion. They come in various denominations and can be purchased online or by calling 1-877-289-8486 (877-BUY-TIVO).
NOTE: TiVo service gift cards can be used to purchase TiVo service only. They cannot be used to purchase merchandise, be applied to an existing TiVo service account, or be used with DIRECTV DVRs.

TiVo service gift cards are not redeemable for cash, but can be redeemed for any TiVo service payment plan with a TiVo DVR. Please visit our TiVo service gift cards page for full details.

Redeeming TiVo service gift cards online
A TiVo service gift card must be redeemed when you activate a new TiVo Service-Only payment plan. You can use only one TiVo service gift card per activation.
Depending upon when you purchased your gift card, the redemption code is located here:
Purchased before 09/16/05: -- character code found in an email
Purchased between 09/20/05 and 11/19/05: 9-character code found on a printed certificate
Purchased between 11/20/05 and 11/20/06: 12-character code beginning with "TS" found on a printed certificate
Purchased after 11/20/06: 12-character code beginning with "TM" or "GG" found on a printed certificate
Once you have found your redemption code, just visit www.tivo.com/activate to activate a new TiVo service plan using your gift card.
IMPORTANT: TiVo service gift cards not used during the activation process cannot be redeemed once service is activated. However, the gift card can be used to activate another TiVo DVR, either as an additional unit for your home, or for a new subscriber.
Redeeming TiVo service gift cards by phone
You can activate your new TiVo DVR over the phone by calling 1-877-289-8486. When speaking to the customer service representative, be sure to provide your redemption code so that it can be applied to your account.
What happens when the gift card runs out?
Once your TiVo service gift card has been completely used, any remaining balance owed will be charged to the credit card on file, and your TiVo service will continue at the payment plan rate you chose when you activated your TiVo DVR.
When activating a new TiVo DVR, we require that all TiVo subscribers provide credit/debit card information. If you choose a monthly payment plan and apply a gift card to your account, the credit/debit card on file will be charged the regular monthly rate only after your TiVo service gift card has been used entirely.
You can update your credit/debit card information at any time by visiting Manage My Account at www.tivo.com/manage .
TiVo will also authorize your credit/debit card for the amount of the gift card during the activation process. This amount will be held for a specified amount of time determined by your bank and then released back to you.

Before redemption, TiVo service gift cards are transferrable and refundable within 30 days of purchase. Click here for a full list of terms and conditions.
NOTE: Returns on TiVo Gift Packages (includes a DVR and a TiVo service gift card) are subject to a Non-Returned Equipment Fee.
Lost or stolen TiVo service gift cards
TiVo is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards. However, if you lost your unredeemed gift card, contact TiVo Customer Support. When you call, be sure to have the following information:
- TiVo Service Number
- Gift giver's name
- Gift recipient's name
- TiVo service gift card reference number (if available)
Once we determine the gift card is still valid, we will provide you with a valid TiVo service gift card redemption code. If the gift card has already been redeemed and is no longer valid, we will notify you via email.
