We record much more than we can watch at home. With three TiVo HDs, and expanders, there isn´t enough time to watch everything. So, I transfer programs to my laptop and watch them on the airplane or in our hotel. If I forget to record a program at home, I get on tivo.com and schedule the program from anywhere in the world as long as the Internet is available. Can´t imagine TV or travel without TiVo.

Everyone in my family had one and told me I should get one. Finally I gave in. Could not believe how easy it was to install, the best directions ever! It is the only way to record and watch TV. I can tape shows while I am at work, set Season Passes so I don´t have to set a tape weekly, and pause when I am watching TV live. I just purchased my second one, a TiVo HD and moved the other one in my other room. If you don´t have it, get it!

I started TiVo with a Series1 way back and was totally hooked on pausing live TV and the ease of scheduling a program to record. My son, now 15, has never not know TiVo and we have had them all. From the Series1 we went to a Series2 and now have a Series3. What I have found funny is when we go over to someones home without one my son says things like lets pause this and get something to eat and they look at him and say what? Then we go into the whole TiVo pitch and sell them on it.

I have been a TiVo customer for several years using a Pioneer Series2, and decided to take advantage of the special offer of a new TiVo HD XL DVR. The THX sound qualtiy is better, the HD recordings are broadcast quality and the hard drive capacity is 10x larger than the Series2 unit that I own.

I also took advantage of the Lifetime TiVo service offer and got rid of the Comcast HD box that was costing me $13.00 versus $1.50 for a cable card.

I had TiVo prior to HD and when I went to HD I began using the cable company DVR. I felt lost with it. It just doesn´t compare with TiVo. So I now have TiVo HD with a 1TB expander and I would be lost without it. I have also signed up for Netflix which allowed me to have video on demand and I absolutely love it. TiVo is definitely the best system going.
